• Profile data: Academic information you choose to add, such as educational institution, year of study, and subjects.
• Study content: Tasks, subjects, notes, and any other content you create within the app.
• Communications: Messages or feedback you send us via email or in-app support.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use Study ELITE, certain information is collected automatically to provide and improve our services:

• Usage data: Features used, pages visited, time spent in the app, session duration, and interaction patterns.
• Device information: Device type, operating system, browser type and version, and device identifiers.
• Log data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, and crash reports.
• Performance data: App performance metrics and error logs to improve stability.

We use the information we collect for the following legitimate purposes:

Service Provision

• Creating and managing your account.
• Providing access to all Study ELITE features and functionality.
• Syncing your study data across devices.
• Processing and storing your tasks, subjects, and study records.

Service Improvement

• Analyzing usage patterns to improve features and user experience.
• Diagnosing and fixing technical bugs and performance issues.
• Developing new features based on aggregate usage insights.
• Conducting research and analytics to better understand user needs.

• Sending essential account notifications (password resets, security alerts).

Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party companies that help us operate Study ELITE. These providers only process your data on our behalf and are contractually bound to keep it confidential and secure. Our key providers include:

• Supabase: Authentication, database hosting, and data storage.
• Hugging Face Spaces: Application hosting infrastructure.
• Google AdMob: In-app advertising (only on the free tier; may collect device identifiers for ad personalization).

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, or valid legal process, such as a court order or government request. We will notify you of such requests when legally permitted to do so.

Business Transfers

If Study ELITE is acquired, merged, or its assets are transferred to another entity, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Safety & Fraud Prevention

We may share information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Study ELITE, our users, or the public.

We take the security of your personal data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure.

Security Measures

• Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL protocols.
• Encryption at rest: Data stored in our databases is encrypted at the storage level.
• Authentication: We use Supabase's robust authentication system with support for secure password hashing and session management.
• Access controls: Internal access to user data is restricted on a need-to-know basis.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Right to Access

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. You can access most of your data directly through the Study ELITE app.

Right to Rectification

Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten")

You may request that we delete your personal data. You can delete your account directly from the app settings, which will trigger deletion of your personal data within 30 days.

Right to Data Portability

You may request a machine-readable export of your personal data. Contact us to submit a data portability request.

Right to Object & Restrict Processing

You may object to or request restriction of certain types of data processing. We will honor these requests unless we have a compelling legitimate reason to continue processing.

Marketing Communications

You can opt out of non-essential marketing emails at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any email we send, or by adjusting your notification preferences in the app settings.

GDPR Rights (EU/EEA Residents)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

CCPA Rights (California Residents)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

What Are Cookies?

Study ELITE is designed for high school and university students. We take children's privacy seriously.

Study ELITE is intended for users aged 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. In jurisdictions where the minimum age is higher (e.g., 16 in the EU under GDPR), we apply the higher age requirement.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under the applicable minimum age has created an account or provided personal data to us, please contact us immediately at paueliteesp@gmail.com. Upon verification, we will delete the account and all associated data promptly.

Users between 13 and 18 should use Study ELITE with parental or guardian knowledge and consent where required by local law.

Welcome to Study ELITE. By accessing or using our application, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

Eligibility

To use Study ELITE, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction).
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• Not be barred from using the Service under applicable law.
• Provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account.

License to Use

Study ELITE grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes, subject to these Terms. This license does not include the right to sublicense, copy, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit the Service.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Study ELITE only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of the Service.

Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach.
• You must not share your account with others or allow others to access your account.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, subject to our data retention obligations. Study content and usage statistics may be retained in anonymized, aggregated form for service improvement purposes.

One Account Per User

Each user may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans is prohibited and may result in all accounts being suspended.

Study ELITE Content

All content, features, and functionality of Study ELITE—including but not limited to software, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof—are owned by Study ELITE and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within Study ELITE (tasks, notes, subjects, etc.). By using the Service, you grant Study ELITE a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

We will never use your study content for advertising, sell it to third parties, or use it for purposes beyond operating the Service.

Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Study ELITE, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you. We appreciate all feedback as it helps us improve.

Trademarks

The "Study ELITE" name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Study ELITE. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities when using Study ELITE:

Technical Prohibitions

• Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Accessing or attempting to access other users' accounts or data without authorization.
• Using automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or collect data from the Service.
• Attempting to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security feature of the Service.
• Introducing malware, viruses, or other harmful code into the Service.
• Overloading or disrupting the infrastructure of the Service.

Content Prohibitions

• Using the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Posting or transmitting content that is harmful, offensive, defamatory, or violates others' rights.
• Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or entity.
• Collecting or harvesting any personally identifiable information from the Service.

Commercial Prohibitions

• Using the Service for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.
• Reselling, sublicensing, or otherwise commercially exploiting the Service or any part of it.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Study ELITE is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

We do not guarantee specific academic results or outcomes from using Study ELITE. The Service is a tool to assist with organization—your success depends on your own effort and commitment.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Study ELITE and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or study progress.
• Loss of academic opportunities or outcomes.
• Service interruptions or downtime.
• Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

In any case, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to Study ELITE in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (or $10 USD if no payments were made).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Study ELITE and its operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

Termination by You

You may stop using Study ELITE and delete your account at any time through the app settings. Termination does not entitle you to any refunds for payments made.

Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Study ELITE at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms of Service.
• Providing false or misleading information during registration.
• Engaging in prohibited conduct or activities that harm other users or the Service.
• Extended inactivity (we will notify you before terminating inactive accounts).
• Discontinuation of the Service.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use Study ELITE will immediately cease. We may delete your account and data in accordance with our data retention practices. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

Service Discontinuation

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Study ELITE (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of any major changes or discontinuations.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy and Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other reasons. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
• Notify you via email (if you have provided one) of significant changes.
• Display a notice within the Study ELITE app for material changes.

Your Continued Use

Your continued use of Study ELITE after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing any formal legal remedies.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Study ELITE regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
